How can Kirsten Engel be trusted to fix the crisis we see at our border and that is impacting our district when she does not even admit there is a crisis?
THE POLICE
Defund
As crime skyrockets across the state, Kirsten Engel has a record in the Arizona state legislature of opposing law enforcement, including reducing police budgets. Engel was also one of only two Arizona state representatives who voted against ensuring police officers’ due process rights are respected in an investigation against them. And Engel worked for a group that recently called for defunding the police.
Today, gun crimes and violent crimes against law enforcement are on the rise in parts of Arizona and she believes we should shift resources away from our law enforcement men and women.
INFLATION
In just the last two years, the same basket of goods has increased more than $1,200 for Arizonans to purchase. With record-high inflation, Kirsten Engel wants to raise taxes on middle class families already struggling to get by. She even endorsed the Biden-Harris spending bills that made inflation worse and said, “It’s exactly what we need, and what I will keep making happen.”
